Order Entry and Processing

QS/1's easy-to-learn, intuitive Window's based design allows users to choose from mouse and keyboard navigation. Desktop menus and taskbars provide fast access to many areas of the system, often in just one click of the mouse. Process demand fill, cycle fill or unit dose exchange. When unit-dose processing, users can customize the fill list to fit a variety of dispensing intervals and systems. And, dispensing and billing can be managed independently.

Manage Your Workflow

The dispensing process includes order entry, pharmacist verification, labeling/ packaging, quality assuarance with NDC bar code verification and drug images, and delivery with bar code tote checking. Orders that require additional attention can be pushed to the error resolution queue to avoid delay. And full help documentation, tutorials and what's new are available in just one click.

Manage Accounts Receivable and Billing

Enjoy comprehensive financial data management with easy posting, reporting and tracking of private pay and facility charges with a variety of accounts receivable reports. Easily process statements, trial balances and departmental reports with electronic claims reconciliation. The billing rules for order processing can be maintained at the facility level in the facility matrix by the billing department. Third party receivables are also easily reported and tracked. Reconciliation of claims, both manual and electronic including 835, is included.

Efficient Claims Processing

Process claims quickly and easily with QS/1's PowerLine claims switch. QS/1 provides dial-up or Internet claims submission in real time or batch mode and provides the ability to send mulitple claims for multiple patients to multiple carriers.

Comprehensive Clinical Management

QS/1's PrimeCare has a full suite of clinical functions including screening for drug-drug interactions, theraputic duplication, drug-disease contraindications, drug allergies, geriatric percautions, drug-food precautions and adult min-max dose checking. Use the system to document clinical interventions as well as track lab, immunizations and therapeutic management to monitor patient progress.

Flexible Reporting

QS/1's PrimeCare makes it easy to generate the reports required in institutional pharmacy. Easily customize standard reports by altering the select and sort criteria or create your own custom reports. An optional tool enables you to export pharmacy data into your favorite spreadsheet or database for further manipulation.

Built-In Medical Records

PrimeCare contains a full complement of medical records forms, including more than 65 POF and 65 MAR formats, as well as treatment sheets and psychotropic monitoring sheets. Many forms are also available for laser printers.

Connect Pharmacy and Facility with WebConnect

QS/1 WebConnect is an easy-to-use tool that provides pharmacy-facility connectivity, providing web access to pharmacy information right from the nurses' stations. WebConnect saves time, increases efficiency and productivity, and allows the pharmacy to raise the level of customer service through sharing of information:

  • Look up patients and view profiles
  • Order new or refill medications online. Refills go directly into the pharmacy system queue, eliminating fax requests

Want to avoid the headache of managing a computer network? QS/1's PrimeCare OnDemand is a hosted solution, available for the small pharmacy that needs the power of PrimeCare but does not have the budget or manpower for an in-house system.
