QS/1 Launches WebConnect 3.0: New Look, New Features

Spartanburg, SC – October 28, 2009 – QS/1 has launched WebConnect 3.0, a browser-based product that provides a link between long-term care facilities and pharmacies.

”We are excited about taking WebConnect to the next level,” said Jim Hancock, QS/1 Sales Manager.

WebConnect integrates with PrimeCare, QS/1’s software management system for pharmacies that service Long-Term Care (LTC) facilities. WebConnect allows LTC facilities to order new medications, refill prescriptions, add or update patient information, view the prescription profile, print refill reports, view delivery sheets and receive medication orders from a web browser. It also provides LTC facility nurses many clinical tools such as checking for drug-to-drug interactions and viewing geriatric precautions and patient education material.

An updated WebConnect administration function provides pharmacies with the ability to maintain their specific information for the facility, such as address, hours of operation, pharmacists and other staff members.

New reports have also been added from the Patient Profile: Active Medication Profile, Med Discharge Sheet, Leave of Absence Sheet, and Medication Reconciliation Sheet.

New MAR strip labels print from the new order entry process. This strip can be easily applied to the MAR in the facility. There is also a daily medication cost calculator that is interactive with the PrimeCare Billing Matrix.

“The new features enhance the experience with WebConnect,” Hancock added. “Combined with the safety and security features of the product, WebConnect is an even greater tool for pharmacies looking for competitive advantages in the LTC market.”
