QS/1 Named Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association Achieving Independence Sponsor
Spartanburg, SC – April 6, 2012 – QS/1 is proud to become a sponsor of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) Achieving Independence program.
Achieving Independence is a student competition designed to foster the entrepreneurial spirit among pharmacy students to one day own their own pharmacy. The program was developed in 2009 to encourage creativity and interest in pharmacy ownership.
“QS/1 is excited to be a part of this program,” said Tammy Devine, QS/1 president. “This competition is a unique way to excite students to help grow the number of independent pharmacies.”
The first competition was held in 2010 with only three schools participating. That number doubled to six last year with fierce competition. Each team presented interesting concepts for creative new directions for pharmacies.
“PPA has done a tremendous job building this program, and I am thrilled QS/1 is now a part of these students’ learning and development,” Devine added.
The PPA is a professional membership society of registered pharmacists, student pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and others who reside, work, attend college or are interested in pharmacy in Pennsylvania.
