Spartanburg, SC – March 14, 2011 – QS/1 announces a new Pharmacy Management System feature called Pharmacy at a Glance.

The application sits adjacent to the pharmacy management software desktop and gives staff statistics of what is going on within the system.

“We felt it was important for pharmacy managers and staff to see what is going on in their pharmacy without having to go from one part of the system to another,” said Tammy Devine, Executive Vice President of QS/1. “Pharmacy at a Glance can identify potential bottlenecks before they become a problem.”

Once launched, Pharmacy at a Glance shows the number of prescriptions that are waiting in any specific queue, including workflow, electronic claims, electronic information (such as IVR or electronic prescriptions) and the tickler file for reminders and prescriptions due for processing. Pharmacy specific thresholds for each queue can be color coded to differentiate between a warning (yellow) and action needed (red).

“Since each pharmacy is unique, we allowed for flexibility in choosing which queues to display and how often to refresh,” Devine adds. “Each workstation can have its own unique view of the pharmacy.”

Pharmacy at a Glance is one of the latest enhancements to the NRx Pharmacy Management System, and the PrimeCare Institutional Pharmacy Management system, both available with the addition of Service Pack 19.1.6.
