If you need to run a report for a month of data, type the two-digit month, followed by ?? , and then the two-digit year. Tip 2 You can run reports for a specific date range, using the words TODAY or YESTERDAY – plus a one-, two-, or three-digit number. For example, TODAY-4 will select the date range of 10/04/20-10/08/20, if today’s date was 10/08/20. Shortcuts The following time-saving features allow for increased productivity: • From the Patient Record, press F4 to start a new prescription. • Press Tab to move across the Rx Processing Tasks bar or use the function keys that display when you hover over an option. For example, Mail is F5. • Instead of clicking X in the upper right-hand corner, press Escape to exit a window/screen. Document Vaccinations Vaccination season is upon us. Ensure you’re documenting vaccinations correctly in NRx. By Rx Number 1. Create the Rx for the patient. From the Rx Summary screen, click Immunization Record . 2. Scan the VIS barcode of the vaccine, which will populate most of the information on the form. If you do not have access to the VIS barcode, manually enter the necessary information. Note: Required fields for immunization reporting vary by state. It is your responsibility to know which fields are required. Note: The Next Immunization Date field serves as a reminder to show when the patient will need their next immunization of this drug. This is typically used for SHINGRIX and flu vaccinations. 3. Click Submit . By Patient Chart 1. Go to the Patient Record. Click Patient Chart > Immunization Records . 2. Click New Immunization at the top of the screen. 3. Scan the VIS barcode of the vaccine, which will populate most of the information on the form. If you do not have access to the VIS barcode, manually enter the necessary information. Note: SMP requires that a vaccination have an Rx Number. If you do a vaccination from the Patient Chart, it will NOT have an Rx Number; therefore, it will NOT be reported to SMP. COVID-19 Prescription Alert in NRx and PrimeCare ® The North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBoP) mandated that all COVID-19 medications have a diagnosis code on the prescription that coincides with the virus before pharmacists can dispense them for that reason. Z-pack is one of those Rxs. Other BoP may follow suit. To remind your staff to pay special attention to COVID-related prescriptions before filling: 1. Go to the Clinical section of the Drug Record. 2. Under Notes, turn on Override Required , and add comments accordingly.
