INSIGHT - Summer 2020

Summer 2020 | 29 Step 3: PaaG Workflow Sort Options Once you’re using PaaG to quickly view Workflow queue information, you need to ensure the information is sorted consistently. By default, PaaG sorts information by “Patient Last Name” and “Patient First Name.” And if you’re using prescription delivery method and lead times, you want to sort the Workflow queue to highlight the most urgent prescriptions. The first option to activate is new and was highly requested. Click File > Preferences > Options . Select “Use Workflow Select/Sort Options with PAAG.” This option bypasses the default out-of-the-box Sort Options, so you can sort Workflow queues based on delivery method or the date and time due. Once this option is selected, it’s only applied to the user who is signed into the application. Workflow Select/Sort Options can be saved using what is referred to as QS1TSK logic. When you start NRx and view the Connect window, you’ll see a Secondary/Client field. Set up this field with QS1TSK logic by using an entry in this range: QS1TSK300 through QS1TSK399. Once you have assigned a workstation number, you can set up queues to sort based on your needs. For example, if you want to sort the Quality Assurance queue by Date Due and Time Due signed in as QS1TSK301, complete the following: 1. Click Quality Assurance from PaaG. The queue will display and is sorted by “Patient Last Name” and “Patient First Name.” 2. There is a small dropdown to the far right of the “Find” text box. In this pop-up window, there’s an “Update Filters/Sort Options” option. Click it to access the Select Options screen where you can make adjustments to filter information. 3. Click Next and the Sort Options screen displays. 4. Click the Change button, and then click Remove All to clear the current options. 5. Highlight Date Due and click Add . 6. Highlight Time Due and click Add . 7. Click OK , and then click Save . The information in the Quality Assurance queue should now be sorted by Date Due and Time Due to show which prescriptions should be checked by the pharmacist next. This queue will now be sorted accordingly anytime QS1TSK301 is used throughout the pharmacy. Using a setup that is focused around the prescription Date Due and Time Due is key to workflow optimization. Note : If you don’t see the Delivery Date and Time listed as a column in the grid, add it by clicking the drop-down arrow and selecting Edit Columns . Check Due Date/ Time and drag the column to the left or right. If you have questions on how to ensure NRx Workflow benefits you, please reach out to your customer success manager.
